Motions:
Round 1: This House would not allow beef that has not been tested for BSE to be imported to Japan.
Round 2: This House believes that the Olympic Games is outmoded.
Round 3: This House would no longer build nuclear power plants.
Round 4: This House would introduce the jury system.
Semi-Finals: This House would introduce a regional system (doshu-sei) to replace the present prefectural system in Japan.
Final: This House believes that the Japanese Self Defense Forces should withdraw from Iraq.

2004
| The English-Speaking Union of Japan (ESUJ)
and The Nikkei Weekly (TNW) will be jointly holding its
third parliamentary-style debate competition for participants
other than university students on Saturday, June 12. The
Debate is intended to be an enjoyable opportunity for
working persons and adults to exercise their English-language
skills of persuasion. We hope to see you on June 12, at
this very special event! |
