Co-organized Special Lecture
Asian Dimension of English
The Lord Watson of Richmond, CBE
Chairman, International Council of the English-Speaking
Union
On the occasion of his trip to Korea for the
founding of ESU Korea in mid-April, Lord Watson of Richmond
will be visiting Japan in his capacity as Chairman of the
International Council of the English-Speaking Union, of
which ESUJ is also a member. ESUJ together with Keio University
are co-hosting a special lecture at this time by Lord Watson.
Lord Watson is presently a member of the British
House of Lords and, as Chairman of Burson-Marsteller Europe,
a prominent figure in the world of advertising and publicity.
A former presenter of prominent BBC programmes such as Panorama,
he is one of Britain's most eminent speakers. A chance to
hear him speak on the Asian dimension of English is a not-to-be-missed
opportunity for Japanese interested in the English language.
Following the lecture, cocktails will be served and there
