ESUJ Lecture (in English)
An Invitation to Japanese Traditional Music
- Discover the beauty of 'hogaku' -
Professor, University of the Air
Professor emeritus, Ochanomizu University
Mr. TOKUMARU Yosihiko
| ESUJ will present one of its ever-popular
lectures in English, this time on the topic of Japanese
music. How did the tradition of Japanese music, or ヤhogakuユ,
begin, take root and evolve? What are the special features
of Japanese instruments? And what about its global spread?
This is an excellent opportunity to learn about Japanese
music accompanied by an actual koto demonstration. Not
to be missed. |
