| Sudan, where the White and the Blue Nile flow into each other, is the largest country in Africa. Following liberation from the rule of England and Egypt, various difficulties ensued. Despite agreements for a stop to the internal warfare, the situation in Darfur remains unresolved. Sudan is a treasure house of historical remains, influenced by the Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Arabian cultures. HE Musa M. OMER Saeed Sudanese Ambassador Extraordinary
and Plenipotentiary to Japan
Born in 1946. Graduate of Khartoum University; studied architecture. From 1970, a participant in the MA and PhD courses of Architectural Design at Waseda University. Worked for Kenzo Tange & URTEC, Tokyo, during that time. Later became a consultant and Chairman of the Architecture Department at the King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia, before becoming Ambassador to Japan in 1990-94. Following that, he held various posts, mainly in Japan but also elsewhere, before once again becoming ambassador plenipotentiary to Japan in February,2004. Founder of the Sudan-Japan Friendship Society in Khartoum
