ESUJ Lecture in English
"Come Come Babies & Go Go Babies"
― How we learned English during the post war period
- - their two world famous successors
Lecture by Mr. Taketo Furuhata,
Ex-Vice President, ITOCHU Corporation
| Do you remember "Come Come English" by Mr. T. Hirakawa, an NHK radio program that swept over post-war Japan? Some may still remember the theme song "Come come everybody…". Mr. Furuhata, one of the most fluent English speakers in the business world as well as a well-known baseball fan (Tigers crazy), will speak about his struggle with the English language and his prospects for the 2006 baseball season. Who would be "their two world famous successors" in the sub-title? That will remain a mystery until the evening. Please join us with your friends and family members! |
