Ambassador's Lecture Series No. 11

Today's Poland

Lecture by H.E. Dr. Marcin Rybicki

Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Japan

Poland: a country which has suffered many hardships in its history due to its geographical position between the powerhouses of Germany and Russia. Poland is also the country where Chopin was born. Today, Poland is a democratic nation and member of the European Union since 2004. Recently, the country has also become a nation governed by twin brothers, one the president, the other the prime minister. For the next in our series of Ambassador's Lectures, we have invited Poland's Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Marcin Rybicki, to speak to us. A renowned economist, Dr. Rybicki will talk to us about various aspects of today's Poland. Your participation is most welcome.
